THE SOLAR AND WIND EXPO MASSACHUSETTS;

It's time to Look into the benefits of renewable energy! Nov. 4-6, 2011 Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough

The Solar and Wind Expo Massachusetts will bring the exciting possibility of getting energy from Nature to consumers in Massachusetts this fall with its first foray into the Bay State. Exhibitors and seminar speakers will be on hand to meet with consumers and show them how to save money while being good to the environment.

The Expo is dedicated solely to renewable energy, including solar, wind, and geothermal, biomass and hydroelectric power. The exhibitors include manufacturers, installers, and lenders – all under one roof at the Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough, Mass. – just 36 miles west of Boston.

Along with the exhibits, admission to the show includes access to seminars for both consumers and professionals in the renewable energy field. Seminar topics include the following and many more are in the works:
• Sustainability, LEED, Passive House, Green Design, HERS
• Why Now is the Time to Go Solar
• Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal Incentives
• Wind Power 101: Will a Wind Turbine Work for Me?
• The Sustainable Leadership Program of Boston
• Where to Find Skills and Funding Sources

Astrum Solar returns as National Sponsor and Energy Systems & Installations (ESI) and SunLion Energy Systems have signed on as Gold Sponsors. WGBH (PBS Boston) and WCVB (ABC Boston) have signed on as media sponsors.

"There is a real buzz now about renewable energy because people are realizing that while they are helping the country be less dependent on foreign oil, they can also do good things for the environment," said George Lopez, executive director of Expo. "The technology is growing quickly and becoming more affordable. At the same time, the economic times we're in makes everyone want to look into how to save money. Now is the time to make these investments, and the Royal Plaza Trade Center on Nov. 4-6 is the place to learn more!"

Massachusetts has a long history as a renewable energy-friendly state. The Solar Renewable Energy Credits market is very stable in the Commonwealth and today there are many federal, state and local incentives to encourage consumers to invest in renewable energy. Renewable energy incentives and the technologies change quickly. It behooves anyone who is even mildly interested in investing in these technologies to attend the Expo to get the most recent information from those who know it best.
