Regional Sales Manager for Reserve Power (RP) division (utility, power generation, substation, switchgear, UPS, telecom
and DC power backup markets) in order to develop new and expand existing customers, OEMs and regional partners in the Mid-west Region.
Company Background: We are a European organization founded in the early 1900's and expanded to the US markets in 1985. We presently employ over 2,000 people in more than 70 countries.
Job Description:
Report to and work with the Director of Reserve Power Sales North America to increase sales in the respective territory set by the Director.
Full responsibility in maintaining and growing existing customers, generating new leads, acquiring new customers and projects through proactive sales initiatives.
Collaborate with the technical applications engineers, operations and customer support team at the head office.
Prepare and manage annual sales budget and maintain sales operating costs.
Assess industry and market trends as well as customer requirements to set strategies.
Attend trade-shows, conferences and industry related events in the respective region.
Support and promote the company’s corporate philosophy and policies.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering – Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or equivalent. MBA a plus.
At least 5 years successful track record in multi-level B2B selling.
Skills developing and maintaining OEM key accounts and a Partner Network, are highly desired.
Solid technical skills and affinity with the ability to quickly gain an understanding of the
company’s products and applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid and convincing personality.
Skilled to work, interact and build relationships with all levels of customers’ organization.
Proactive, Self-starter, Highly-Motivated, Detail oriented.
Able to work remotely, set meetings on a weekly basis and send quotes in a timely manner.
Willing to travel short to medium distances mainly by car and up to 50% of the time.
Location preference: Mid-Western United States (IL, OH, IN, IA, MO, MN, WI)
