WS510 Secondary Standard

WS510 Secondary Standard

In the monitoring of large photovoltaic (Utility Scale), in assessing potential sites (Solar-assessment), or in up and coming electricity cost saving initiatives projects (Commercial & Industrial), the WS510 now provides the market a secondary standard pyranometer, ultrasonic wind speed, ultrasonic wind direction, temperature, pressure and humidity all in a single unit.. This sensor meets the high demands of the world meteorological organization (WMO) through the active valving at air temperature measurement and the inertia- and maintenance-free measurement of wind speed and wind direction on the ultrasonic principle. Equipped with a Kipp & Zonen pyranometer of the secondary standards, the WS510-UMB Compact weather sensor from Lufft unites the precision of a variety of meteorological individual sensors in a single all-in-one device, for the first time.

Nor-Cal Controls Tahoe Met Station simplifies Data Gathering

New solar PV farm projects require the use of meteorological (MET) weather stations to achieve and maintain efficiencies critical to power and revenue generation. Nor-Cal Controls ES, Inc. has meticulously engineered the Tahoe™ MET station to meet and exceed the exacting demands of this new industry using Lufft's weather sensor.

Lufft introduces new visibility sensor VS2k and launches MARWIS 2.0

The award-winning technology among the Lufft sensors, the MARWIS mobile road sensor, is getting a useful update. The second generation of the sensor replaces its predecessor from now on.

As Fast As Lightning: Lufft Releases A New Weather Sensor with Integrated Lightning Detection

Lufft of Stuttgart Germany released the WS800 Weather Station with integrated lightning detection. The new sensor takes all the same innovative weather sensor technology known to lufft and adds advanced lightning detection. The new member of the Lufft weather sensor family allows the precise reconstruction of the location where and the times at which such acts of nature occurred.

"WindTalker" Arrives Providing Ideal Anemometer Replacement Solution for Turbine Control

New, smart, wind sensitive: "WindTalker" from NorCal Controls combines with Lufft VENTUS for the ideal cold weather turbine control anemometer replacement solution.

NorCal controls partners with Lufft to create the new: "WindTalker"

New, smart, wind sensitive: "WindTalker" combines with Lufft VENTUS for the ideal cold weather turbine control anemometer replacement solution.

Schneider Electric succeeds using Lufft weather to monitor 488 Kw commercial solar Array in Virginia

Schneider Electric with Lufft and Evergreen Solar install a 488 Kilowatt solar array at the Virginia NAtional Guard 183rd Regiment training facility. This system will help to meet the energy needs of the facility. Energy use by traditional sources is reduced by over 712,000 kilowatt hours per year.

The Lufft sensor family is growing with the addition of the WS510 weather station with secondary standard pyranometer.

The Lufft sensor family is growing with the addition of the WS510 weather station with secondary standard pyranometer. This measurement meets WMO levels of accuracy for solar radiation. The sensor now meets the needs for solar radiation measurement when secondary standard measurements are required. Weather sensing with solar radiation can now be met by a single all in one weather station by Lufft.

Lufft VENTUS Ultrasonic Wind Sensor Tested and Proven for Offshore Operation

The Luft Ultrasonic Anemometer VENTUS successfully completed the test at the International Technical Inspection Agency TÜV SÜD and now has the Protection Class IP68. This confirms officially that VENTUS is one of a few Ultrasonic Anemometers, protected from infiltration of dust as well as from extended submersion in water. This demonstrates again that VENTUS is perfectly suited for installations on offshore wind turbines as well as on ships or buoys. The sensors are tested and certified to provide accurate data in the harshest conditions of vibration, dust, ice and now extremely wet and corrosive offshore environments.
