The annual Call for Papers for the UKs largest conference devoted to renewable and low carbon energy solutions has been published. It appears both in a launch newsletter just hitting thousands of desks in hard copy and pdf formats, and online at www.all-energy.co.uk The seventeenth All-Energy exhibition and conference will be held Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 May 2017 at Glasgows Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC).

"Government policy (including the effects of Brexit), innovation and cost reduction will all figure high on the All-Energy conference agenda," explains Conference Project Director, Judith Patten MBE. "Naturally too the conference will also feature successful case studies/lessons learned; behavioural change; adding value not costs; diversification; export opportunities; and much more.

"Our call has 34 topic headings and sub-headings covering all forms of renewable generation; heat; energy systems; energy storage; energy efficiency; and the needs of future smart and sustainable cities, and much more. I urge potential presenters to pore over it, and then submit their ideas.

"Importantly, we not only want abstract/summaries of the presentation they would like to give, but their ideas for entire sessions (in the form of topics and speakers) and their thoughts on lively panel discussions. As past All-Energy conferences have shown, the programmes are very much decided for the industry by the industry. Each topic has an industry ‘champion who we call upon at selection time for expert input and advice. Attendance on the day, and the supportive comments received after each event, prove how effective this process is in producing a superb conference."

Once again there will be conference sessions; presentations in quick-fire showfloor seminar theatres devoted to offshore wind; wave and tidal; community renewables; and energy efficiency/retrofit; as well as academic poster presentations. The closing deadline is 15 December 2016.

Exhibition going strongly
"I am pleased to say that bookings for the All-Energy 2017 exhibition are very much on a par with this time last year," explains Event Director, Jonathan Heastie of organisers Reed Exhibitions. "Many of our exhibitors have been with us for years, naturally we are delighted to also welcome a considerable number of newcomers, the mix of ‘old and ‘new makes interesting reading and augurs well for next Mays event . We look forward to delivering a show that has a proven track record for providing an outstanding platform from which they can, and will, do business.

"Each year we produce a veritable one-stop shop, bringing together all elements of the industry in the exhibition, multi-stream conference, seminar theatres, Power Club Lounge, 1-2-1 Meet the Buyers share fair, and at our Giant Networking Evening which will, once again, be at the Glasgow Science Centre.

"Our policy of free entry to the exhibition, conference and Giant Networking Evening continues; as does support from a host of trade associations and professional bodies; and an impressive media partners roll call. Excitingly, only last week we launched a new event running alongside All-Energy - Smart Urban Mobility Solutions (SUMS 2017). This comprises an exhibition and conference, for which the Call for Papers is now open. The addition of this co-located event which will see attendees able to move freely from one exhibition to the other, is a further evolution in All-Energys long and successful history."

Looking back
All-Energy 2016 was held in early May 2016 at the SECC. It attracted 6,726 from 45 countries; 400 exhibiting companies from 14 countries; some 460 speakers in all parts of the conference; and well over a thousand attendees at the Giant Networking Evening.

Information on exhibiting, sponsorship packages, and accommodation at special rates negotiated by the Glasgow Marketing Bureau, as well as the Call for Papers is all online at www.all-energy.co.uk or from all-energy@reedexpo.co.uk
