Director, Mrs. Margaret Bennett says
" We have always tried to keep the price down so that the people who really need it can afford it. This hasn't been easy since the material costs go up all the time - being a non-profit organisation, it is really only this that affects us. The Sunstove 2000 sells now for +- $US18 ex factory. This can only be achieved by using re-cycled materials and making sure everything we do is cost-effective.

Luckily, our solar cooker is quite light (+- 5kg) so I can and do post them by normal parcel post all over the place. Because they stack neatly inside one another it is a simple matter to get 10 or more across the back seat of a car. The light weight also helps the user who can easily pick it up, take it indoors of a night and hang it on the wall out of the way.

Because it needs no assembly and virtually no instructions for use (it is really simple to cook with this Sunstove) we send it out with just a small recipe book. Still, it is encouraging to get feedback from all over the world and to hear what other people are cooking. There seems to be no limit to what you can do"
