Hartford, CT, Wellesley, MA, - May 25, 2004 -- SolarOne' has completely reformatted its www.solarone.net site as one of several steps aimed at pointing the company towards "application-oriented" products, complemented by innovative design services and customer-friendly product support. Visitors are able to access pertinent information, whether they approach it from an application perspective, such as water purification and lighting or from a product perspective - such as the SolarOne' Harvester' PV Generator. Product Literature, Consulting Services, Run time calculators, Testimonials, Retail Pricing and Dealers are all practically one click away. The launch of the new website effectively signals the final stage of the transformation from the Solar Dynamics brand name to SolarOne' and the phasing out of its small consumer-oriented products such as the Solar Cub' and SDI Battery Charging Line.
"In many regards, the new web site is an alignment with what the company has been providing the market over the past year," says SolarOne President, Moneer Azzam. "It also represents a re-positioning to enable the company to launch a series of exciting new products currently in development."
The website is designed around the notion that SolarOne' provides all the equipment and resources for its customers to create their own solar "micro-utility." This micro-utility can provide electric power, lighting or clean water. By incorporating the Harvest-Store' data logger, customers can also monitor performance and fine-tune operations - much like full scale utility. Currently the web site is centered around its Harvester' product platform and design support services. Plans are well underway to expand this offering with new platforms in these application areas.
