EVCT Schedules June 2005 classes

Three classes will be held at EVCT in Del City Oklahoma in June 2005: Summer Electric Drive Vehicle Workshop, Introduction to Hydrogen Fuel Cells, and Introduction to Hybrid Vehicles.

Mid-Del Technology Center offers 3 Electric Drive Vehicle Workshops

On June 7-10, 2005, Mid-Del's Electric Vehicle Center (EVCT) is hosting its annual Summer Electric Drive Vehicle Workshop from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at 3921-B SE 29th Street in Del City, Oklahoma. The 32-hour workshop will include the latest information on hybrid electric vehicles and fuel cell technologies. EVCT presents the course with a mix of classroom and hands-on activities. The course topics include hybrid vehicles, battery electrics, low-speed vehicles, diagnosis and troubleshooting, safety, hands-on lab time, and fuel cell technology.
The course is offered at a cost of $650, including books and handout materials. Seating is limited.

June 14 & 16, 2005 Mid-Del will hold its Hydrogen Fuel Cells course. This 6 hour class will be from 6-9:30 pm each evening. A special price of $99 is being offered. This introductory class explores the emerging technology of fuel cells. The course covers fuel-cell theory and history, types of fuel cells and vehicular applications of fuel cells, as well as industrial and home applications. The course includes a classroom demonstration of working fuel cells and is designed for consumer and investor education.
June 21 from 6-9 PM an Introduction to Hybrid Vehicles will be held. This course is for the consumer or fleet purchaser. The 3-hour course includes information on high voltage batteries, electric motors and control systems. A hands-on demonstration will show students how the vehicles operate and what to expect in the purchase and driving of these advance technology vehicles. The investment is $20.
