Following an Independent Review, Czech Consortium Selects ADICA's EMCAS Software as Top Strategic Regional Electricity Model.

Having joined the EU, the Czech Republic is part of a union that encourages cooperation, transparency and free access to the electricity marketplace. In 2006, a consortium comprised of a system operator (OTE), regulator (ERU), transmission company (CEPS), and Ministry (MI&T) in the Czech Republic hired an independent consulting firm (Deloitte) to conduct a survey of commercially available software for electricity market simulation, which can be used to assist various stakeholders in the Czech Republic in providing key "educated answers" to several important energy questions.

An initial search led to the consortium contacting nine software vendors to request publications, documentation and demonstration models. After a detailed review, the consortium requested demonstrations of four "best-of-class" solutions. In June 2006, the consortium selected the EMCAS software distributed by ADICA as the top pick for their Strategic Regional Electricity Model.

About EMCAS
The Electricity Market Complex Adaptive System software is designed to meet the growing need for advanced modeling approaches that simulate how electricity markets may evolve over time. EMCAS employs an innovative
agent-based modeling approach to more accurately model the complex interactions between physical infrastructures (generation, transmission, and distribution) and economic behavior of market participants.

WS510 Secondary Standard

WS510 Secondary Standard

In the monitoring of large photovoltaic (Utility Scale), in assessing potential sites (Solar-assessment), or in up and coming electricity cost saving initiatives projects (Commercial & Industrial), the WS510 now provides the market a secondary standard pyranometer, ultrasonic wind speed, ultrasonic wind direction, temperature, pressure and humidity all in a single unit.. This sensor meets the high demands of the world meteorological organization (WMO) through the active valving at air temperature measurement and the inertia- and maintenance-free measurement of wind speed and wind direction on the ultrasonic principle. Equipped with a Kipp & Zonen pyranometer of the secondary standards, the WS510-UMB Compact weather sensor from Lufft unites the precision of a variety of meteorological individual sensors in a single all-in-one device, for the first time.
