SolarOne® Solutions is pleased to announce that TSG Equity Partners of Stow, MA has placed a private investment in the company. SolarOne Solutions provides simple and effective autonomous solar powered solutions for high value commercial applications. SolarOne relocated its operations to Massachusetts in June of 2004. Since then, the company has focused on developing its technology and product offering for solar powered commercial- scale lighting using the latest in photovoltaic and LED technologies with its patent-pending MC2 controls. The investment will accelerate the commercialization of the technology and expand the market opportunities while supporting on-going development activities.

The investment represents TSG's first investment in the Clean Tech space. TSG's Chairman, Tom Shepherd says, "SolarOne works with several exciting technologies where TSG sees tremendous growth potential. Beyond the investment, we see synergy between our firms on several levels, further enhanced by our geographic proximity to each other". SolarOne's President, Moneer Azzam adds, "We moved to Massachusetts because we believed it had many of the right ingredients to make us successful, including access to capital. Having a partner like TSG, whose principals also have expertise in the lighting industry, branding, and manufacturing, is a significant bonus for SolarOne and greatly enhances our resources".

Darfon G320 Microinverter

The Darfon G320 is the microinverter solution for today's high-power solar modules. The G320 handles 60- and 72-cell modules up to 350W DC and outputs up to 300W AC. The G320's 3-phase configuration accommodates the electrical distribution systems of most commercial buildings and to reduce, if not eliminate, the need for expensive transformers. The G320 comes in four voltage/phase configurations, so it can be installed in residential, commercial or utility applications.
