ARLINGTON, Wash., June 15, 2007 - OutBack Power Systems, Inc., a global manufacturer of power electronics products, is pleased to announce the FLEXnet' DC Advanced DC System Monitor. OutBack Power Systems has developed this revolutionary new product to allow users to have an easy to understand, comprehensive view into their system.

The FLEXnet DC is an Advanced DC System Monitor providing an in-depth view into your system's performance and efficiency - users can now see the level of DC power being generated, how much power is consumed, as well as gauge overall battery health in both Amp-Hours, as well as a much more customer relevant, Kilo-Watt hours. Capable of tracking 128 days of data, the FLEXnet DC also helps improve overall system performance and efficiency and can reduce generator run-time/fuel-consumption. The FLEXnet DC is the first DC System Monitor to offer three channel monitoring and has been designed for ease of installation and to be compatible with existing OutBack systems.

"The FLEXnet DC helps translate a user's system into a more efficient, reliable and robust power system," stated Bryan Thomas, Product Manager "This Advanced DC System Monitor will provide you with the answers you need to make sensible power decisions, allowing you to extend your system's battery life and reduce generator run-time/fuel-consumption."

The FLEXnet DC will be available in late summer, and is accompanied by Outback's two year warranty.

WS510 Secondary Standard

In the monitoring of large photovoltaic (Utility Scale), in assessing potential sites (Solar-assessment), or in up and coming electricity cost saving initiatives projects (Commercial & Industrial), the WS510 now provides the market a secondary standard pyranometer, ultrasonic wind speed, ultrasonic wind direction, temperature, pressure and humidity all in a single unit.. This sensor meets the high demands of the world meteorological organization (WMO) through the active valving at air temperature measurement and the inertia- and maintenance-free measurement of wind speed and wind direction on the ultrasonic principle. Equipped with a Kipp & Zonen pyranometer of the secondary standards, the WS510-UMB Compact weather sensor from Lufft unites the precision of a variety of meteorological individual sensors in a single all-in-one device, for the first time.
