In modern societies the demand on cooling in the building and industrial branch is constantly rising, especially through changed ways of life and labor such as the use of glass facades but also an increased need of comfort. Cooling facilities should start drawing their energy from solar energy or other renewables. That is the only way the rising costs for energy and threats to the climate can be avoided.

The international conference „Solar and renewable cooling", as part of the Innovations-conference at the CEP CLEAN ENERGY POWER®, that takes place Friday January 1st 2008 at New Stuttgart Trade Fair Center, offers practical solution processes to solar cooling and cooling with renewable energies. Eleven international subject specialists will be giving an insight on technologies, markets, profitability and the latest projects all around the future of cooling.

The specialists will present solar-run absorption cooling facilities as well as projects with solar absorption technology, from Italy and Spain among others. Small as and large-scale facility concepts will be presented. Co-generation facilities as energy sources will be in the spotlight as an example of cooling with renewables: Biogas facilities and biomass heat plants, partly with ORC-technology also.

The event is aimed at engineers, the solar industry, cooling and refrigeration businesses, public administrations, energy providers as well as expert planners. The official language of the conference will be English with translation into German.

The leading trade fair will take place from January 29th - 31st 2009 at the Landesmesse Stuttgart. The spectrum of subjects will reach from biogas, wood energy and plant oils over solar energy, co-generation, geothermal energy, heat pumps and wind energy to energy efficiency in construction and renovation.

The opening hours for the trade fair will be: on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Thursday and Friday the entrance fee will be 15€, reduced 12€ and on Saturday 10€, reduced 7€.
