Rich Media Presentations from Solar Power International 2008 Now Available

Conference Archives, Inc. (CAI) releases a digital archive of Solar Power International 2008 featuring rich media presentations and shining light on the future of clean, renewable energy.

JOHNSTOWN, P.A., December 9, 2008 - Conference Archives, Inc. (CAI) releases a digital archive of Solar Power International 2008 featuring rich media presentations and shining light on the future of clean, renewable energy. The digital archive is comprised of oral presentations that were digitally captured at the record breaking Solar Power International held October 13-16 in San Diego, California. With a total of 23,700 attendees, Solar Power International was the largest solar event in U.S. history and featured presentations on a variety of solar-related topics including policy, technology, markets and finance.

The conference—which is jointly presented by Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)—began just days after the U.S. Congress passed the most significant federal policy ever enacted to support the solar energy industry. This sweeping legislation, with an eight year extension and expansion of the investment tax credits (ITC), marked a turning point for the solar energy market in the U.S., which has already grown steadily at 40 percent per year throughout the decade and stands poised for a new era of expansion.

"This year's event was especially compelling," according to Julia Hamm, SEPA executive director and Solar Power International chair. "It set the stage for extensive dialogue on a range of issues-navigating a worldwide financial system under stress, enhancing market growth, driving down costs and fueling technological innovation."

The digital archive is designed to give solar power industry professionals, investors, utility managers, builders, policymakers and everyday citizens access to the latest information and knowledge related to solar energy.

"Developing alternative energy solutions is more important than ever for our nation's future and our environment," said Todd Wagner, CEO of Conference Archives, Inc. "We hope that both attendees and non-attendees of Solar Power International 2008 will benefit from the information imparted in these presentations, as well as the 'green' means of online delivery for this information."

The digital presentations in the Solar Power International archive allows those who could not attend the meeting the ability to relive the conference experience by viewing oral presentations as they were delivered to a live audience.

About Solar Power International
Solar Power International was created in 2004 when the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) joined together in partnership to fill an obvious void: the U.S. was missing a business-to-business solar conference and expo. With an industry growth rate of more than 40 percent per year, there was a need for a single event where industry could come together with potential customers, policymakers, investors, and other parties necessary for continued rapid growth. Solar Power International is now recognized as the marquee solar event in the U.S.
