International Hydrogen Energy Association Reaches Key Emerging Markets

The Partnership for Advancing the Transition to Hydrogen (PATH), an international coalition of national hydrogen associations, will now represent the emerging economies of China and Malaysia, adding to the gains the hydrogen industry has made globally throughout 2008.

The Partnership for Advancing the Transition to Hydrogen (PATH), an international coalition of national hydrogen associations, will now represent the emerging economies of China and Malaysia, adding to the gains the hydrogen industry has made globally throughout 2008.

Officially joining PATH at the close of the Shanghai Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Expo on November 20th, the China Association for Hydrogen Energy (CAHE) and the University of Technology Malaysia bring PATH's membership to 16 countries.

Dr. Zong Qiang Mao, President of CAHE, believes that "China's rise in hydrogen RD&D has matured significantly in the last year. The China Association for Hydrogen Energy will now be able to participate constructively in the international partnership of hydrogen stakeholders that PATH represents."

Malaysia initiated an interim membership with PATH through the University Technology Malaysia, led by Dr. Hamdani Saidi, Director of the Chemical and Natural Resources Engineering School.

Jeffrey Serfass, President of PATH, said "our network in some of the world's largest emerging markets for zero-emissions energy technologies improves the work that we do: producing educational, research, and business resources that each member association can use to help their own member companies lead successful outreach and business development projects within their counties and across borders."

Joyce Dayton Corp - Solar Tracking Drive Solutions

Joyce Solar Actuators are designed to precisely position smaller solar tracking equipment. Their robust and efficient DC motor (24V or 36V) keeps power consumption to a minimum. Travel speeds remain nearly constant regardless of the load. Ideal for rugged environments common to the solar industry, these cost-effective SA actuators have an IP65 protection rating. Self-locking features in the mechanism ensure that the solar actuator will hold position throughout the daily tracking cycle. Specifications: • Double clevis mounting for easy installation • Clutch for overload protection • Adjustable limit switches for flexible travel settings • Reed sensor digital feedback for accurate positioning • Duty cycle is 25% (4 min. running, 12 min. rest) • Lubricated for life
