Evergreen Solar Appoints Chinua Ejeka as Applications & Field Support Engineer for Europe

Evergreen Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESLR), a manufacturer of STRING RIBBON' solar power products with its proprietary, low-cost silicon wafer manufacturing technology, announced today it has appointed Chinua Ejeka as Applications and Field Support Engineer for Europe.

In this role, Ejeka will serve as Evergreen Solar's senior point person in Europe for technical customer support.


Ejeka's appointment increases Evergreen Solar's already significant presence in the German and European markets. Specific responsibilities for the position include response to technical inquiries about Evergreen Solar's products and overall PV system performance, field troubleshooting of all issues and the understanding of local code requirements that may influence product design. Ejeka will also provide support in the development of technical manuals and product usage guides for the European market.

Ejeka brings more than a decade of experience in the solar energy industry. Prior to joining Evergreen Solar, Ejeka served as a manager with Ralos Vertriebs GmbH in Hamburg, Germany. Before that, he was the Marketing Manager and Assistant to the Executive Committee for Solara AG in Hamburg. He also worked for Sunna-Bro fr Sonnenenergie (The Office of Solar Energy) and Deutsche Fachverband Solarenergie (German trade association for solar energy), both in Freiburg.

Ejeka holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Fachhochschule Nordakademie in Hamburg and an advanced degree in social economics from the Hamburg School of Economics and Politics.
