OPEL International Names a New Director of Asian Business Development OPEL Paves the Way for Asian Solar Market Expansion

Shelton, CT, and Toronto, ON, June 9, 2009 - OPEL International Inc. (TSX-V: OPL)

("OPEL"), a leading global developer and supplier of high concentration photovoltaic ("HCPV")and other solar products, including ground-based and rooftop tracker systems, today announced that Steven Lam will be its Director of Asian Business Development. In this role, Lam will focus on the expanding solar markets of China, South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand by building OPEL's footprint in the sales, marketing and operations processes for the region.

Lam will be based in Shelton, Connecticut, and he will spend significant periods of time in Asia
to handle OPEL's current customer base and to develop growth strategies for the region.

Lam comes to OPEL International with over 30 years of integrated systems and semiconductor
experience in general management, sales, marketing, and product engineering. His expertise includes formulating product strategy, new product concepts, product business plans and development, as well as launching new products to market and customer management. Prior to OPEL, Lam worked for ITT, Honeywell and Teradyne. Most recently, he held the position of Director of Asian Sales for TranSwitch Corporation. Lam worked for TranSwitch for over 20 years in senior sales, marketing, and engineering roles. He holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of New Haven.
