Voice your support for E15

Growth Energy is dedicated to increasing the use and availability of ethanol and we need your voice to join the growing chorus of support for expanding use of America's clean, green and homegrown alternative to gasoline: ethanol.

Dear Ethanol Supporter,

Last week, the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC) united with Growth Energy and became Growth Energy Market Development. Growth Energy is dedicated to increasing the use and availability of ethanol and we need your voice to join the growing chorus of support for expanding use of America's clean, green and homegrown alternative to gasoline: ethanol.

Thanks to the hard work and support of many, our country is finally starting to reap the benefits of ethanol. By displacing foreign oil, the ethanol industry has created hundreds of thousands of jobs, added tens of billions of dollars to the American economy and avoided tens of millions of tons of greenhouse gasses. Recognizing these benefits, the President and Congress have called for 36 billion gallons of renewable fuels. The ethanol industry could meet that goal, but is being prevented from doing so by a 30-year-old government regulation limiting ethanol to 10 percent of the gasoline supply.

We want your voice to join the growing chorus of support for expanding use of America's clean, green and homegrown alternative to gasoline: ethanol.

In order to correct the problem, Growth Energy submitted the Green Jobs Waiver to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on behalf of 54 ethanol plants to allow an increase of the blend of ethanol in gasoline from 10 percent up to 15 percent. Now we need your help! The EPA is seeking public comment on the Green Jobs Waiver and we need you to submit your comment today. We need your full support in helping us achieve the increase of up to 15 percent ethanol. Visit www.GoE15.com before July 20 to submit your supportive comment. The more people we have on our side, the stronger the voice will be for energy independence. As if national security, the state of our environment and the future of our energy supply isn't enough, here are several more reasons to submit your favorable comment supporting ethanol to the EPA today:

Moving to E15 will create 136,000 new green-collar jobs throughout the United States, jobs that will benefit your local economy and provide a much needed boost to many rural communities throughout the Midwest.

The science overwhelming supports an increase up to E15. Several studies have shown that when comparing E15 to traditional gasoline, there were no significant changes in tailpipe emissions, vehicle drivability, or small non-road engines emissions as ethanol content increased.

Increasing the blend level will avoid the importation of another 7 billion gallons of gasoline, which leaves us less dependent on foreign countries to provide our energy supply.
Over the long term, we need more flex fuel vehicles and blender pumps to increase the use of ethanol. But in the short term, this increase in the blend is needed in order to provide a market for cellulosic ethanol and build out the infrastructure for the industry. Help increase America's future and quality of life by supporting the E15 Green Jobs Waiver. Help us grow our economy, reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and decrease our dependence on foreign oil.

The July 20 deadline is rapidly approaching. Go to www.GoE15.com and submit your comment to the EPA today.
