TUV Rheinland PTL Named Finalist in AZ Governor's Innovation Awards

TÜV Rheinland PTL, LLC, has been named a finalist in the Arizona Technology Council's "2009 Governor's Celebration of Innovation" (GCOI) awards in the "Innovator of the Year - Start-Up Company" category.

NEWTOWN, CT and PHOENIX, AZ/September 1, 2009 — TÜV Rheinland PTL, LLC, North America's largest solar and photovoltaic testing center, has been named a finalist in the Arizona Technology Council's "2009 Governor's Celebration of Innovation" (GCOI) awards in the "Innovator of the Year - Start-Up Company" category. Finalists in this category have achieved significant business success as well as technical innovation or scientific achievements in the past calendar year.


TÜV Rheinland PTL is a unique partnership with Arizona State University, an institution with more than 50 years of research on solar energy and extensive solar testing know-how. TÜV Rheinland PTL tests and certifies renewable energy products including solar, wind, hydrogen and storage technologies. Today, the test lab, in tandem with TÜVRheinland's global network of photovoltaic testing labs, secures about 60 percent of the world's photovoltaic testing market.
