By utilizing the compass and inclinometer functions of the iPhone to trace the local skyline, together with built in GPS and sun positioning algorithms, Sun Tracker can perform on site shade analysis in seconds. It is simple to use and the graphical display makes it easy to review results with clients and explain why a particular location is best suited for the installation. With the built in weather station data base it produces a realistic estimation of kW/hr production at a site, taking into account the local shading. By selecting your PV panel model, inverter model and quantities, the tool will calculate the $/month production of the site. The tool generates a personalized PDF site survey report that includes the shade profile, AC and DC output and savings per month. You can e-mail the report from the jobsite back to your office, allowing a quote to be quickly produced, while you go on to your next site.
