Imeasure Systems introduces a new Solar Site Evaluation Tool

Canadian based Imeasure Systems, introduces a major update to SunTracker. Now with integrated shade analysis, a PV Panels & inverters data base & the ability to e-mail a PDF report directly from the tool while on site, you can now afford to equip all of your staff with the tools they need.

With its affordable price point, you can equip each of your staff with the tools they need. SunTracker's speed and integration allows field staff to quickly close on the optimum location for the installation. This increases the number of assessments you can accomplish and cuts the site assessment time, allowing you to produce more quotes at lower cost, and close more business.

By utilizing the compass and inclinometer functions of the iPhone to trace the local skyline, together with built in GPS and sun positioning algorithms, Sun Tracker can perform on site shade analysis in seconds. It is simple to use and the graphical display makes it easy to review results with clients and explain why a particular location is best suited for the installation. With the built in weather station data base it produces a realistic estimation of kW/hr production at a site, taking into account the local shading. By selecting your PV panel model, inverter model and quantities, the tool will calculate the $/month production of the site. The tool generates a personalized PDF site survey report that includes the shade profile, AC and DC output and savings per month. You can e-mail the report from the jobsite back to your office, allowing a quote to be quickly produced, while you go on to your next site.

Running on a standard platform allows the product to be introduced at an unprecedented price point.

SunTracker 1.4 is available for immediate download from the Apple App Store.

LG Solar Unveils NeON R with Enhanced Aesthetics and Energy Savings

The NeON R module features "Back Contact" cell technology delivering an entirely black panel that is aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient. The cell's seamless, surface blends perfectly into nearly all rooftop designs while the module's electrodes are positioned on the rear of the cell. Using LG's N-type cell structure, the panels produce 365W of energy, up to 7.3kWp, compared to 5.8kWp of the p-type cell. The module's new design minimizes LID, thereby delivering a longer lifespan and increased energy output.
