AFCENT Installs Avlite Systems Solar Powered LED Taxiway and Obstruction Lights

The United States Air Forces Central, commonly known as AFCENT, have chosen the Avlite AV70 solar powered LED taxiway and obstruction lights for installation at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Pilot Mountain, NC., Nov.2 /-- The United States Air Forces Central, commonly known as AFCENT, have chosen the Avlite AV70 solar powered LED taxiway and obstruction lights for installation at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. AFCENT required 150 solar taxiway and obstruction lights that would stand up to temperatures which exceed 60 degrees Celsius, persistent sand blasting, physical impact and if needed, easy battery replacement. The AV70 was chosen as the industry's most qualified solar LED taxiway and obstruction light capable of operating in hot, demanding conditions with a custom aviation lens and 3 year 100% product warranty.
