St. Louis-based Vertegy today announced that it has once again expanded its staff to keep pace with the growing demand for green and sustainable consulting services with the addition of Edward Unwin as project specialist. Unwin, who also recently passed his LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate exam, will assist Vertegy's clients in attaining LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

Unwin joins Vertegy after spending 38 years as a project manager with Sterling Engineering & Surveying. There, he played instrumental roles in numerous multi-million dollar construction and development projects. In his new position as project specialist, Unwin will use his site development and construction background to assist him in providing hands-on support for the clients and project teams who are seeking the benefits of sustainable design and construction. With his newly achieved LEED Green Associate accreditation, Unwin has begun contributing on several of Vertegy's current projects.

Founded in February 2005, Vertegy provides clients with design, procurement and construction consulting services for green and sustainable facilities. One of the key ways Vertegy serves clients is by helping them gain certification for their projects from various nationally and internationally recognized certification bodies, such as the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), which provides LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification. Vertegy — which is derived from combining the Latin root for green and strategy — is based in St. Louis at the LEED Platinum Alberici headquarters. TRA SNOW AND SUN - SOLAR TILE MOUNT

TRA SNOW AND SUN - SOLAR TILE MOUNT

You haven't installed a tile mount that is easier to install than the Solar Tile Mount manufactured by TRA Snow and Sun. Solar Tile Mount is used on all tile roof profiles: flat, mid, and high. It is made in the USA of aluminum alloy for strength and excellent corrosion resistance. Solar Tile Mount is built to allow more ease in installation with more rise from the tile surface to the rail for better air flow below panels. The adjustable base is longer than most allowing attachment 6" to the left or right to have the bracket in the base of the pan of the tile and still fasten to the rafter. Solar Tile Mount is adjustable for counter batten systems from ¾" to 3". The horizontal rail is directly above base fasteners giving greater uplift resistance than any other system. For superior waterproofing apply TRA Snow and Sun's butyl backed VersaFlash aluminum flashing. No tile flashing is needed on top of the tile for greater labor and material cost savings.
