Dates announced for IntertechPira's 5th Annual Photovoltaics conference

Conference will be held May 3-5 in San Diego, CA

IntertechPira is pleased to announce the 5th annual Photovoltaics conference, scheduled for May 3-5, 2010 at the Hotel Solamar in San Diego, CA. This year's program will bring together leading experts who will address the latest issues, discuss current progress and offer viable ways to move forward in the photovoltaics industry. Key topics to be covered in the program include market and economic trends, technology and manufacturing, materials and solar concentrators.

"The disparity between PV supply and demand, combined with a shaky economy and tough credit markets, has made 2009 a tumultuous year for the photovoltaics industry.," said Christopher Smith, conference producer at IntertechPira. "As we approach the close of 2009, Photovoltaics 2010 will allow the industry to come together, asses the damage, and explore new and emerging opportunities. Building on last year's strong industry attendance, this conference will offer an excellent networking for academics, scientists, investors and businesspeople to gather and discuss the leading business and technical issues facing the global PV industry."

Photovoltaics 2010 will bring together industry experts, manufacturers, researchers and end users for a balanced, comprehensive discussion of the opportunities and challenges surrounding photovoltaic markets, investment, production, applications and technological requirements, challenges and breakthroughs. The conference will feature approximately 18 expert presentations assessing market trends, technical development and application related advances through presentations, question-and-answer sessions and panel discussions. Throughout the conference, there will be a number of hosted luncheons, breaks and receptions, which will be held in and around the exhibit area located outside the main conference room. Sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are available.
