Waste - From Liability to Asset / International Conference and Exhibition in London Presents Profitable Solutions for Dealing with Residues

No one wants it but it keeps piling up. Waste is almost a regenerative resources, but not one that is usually seen in a favourable light. A new international conference in London now casts the spotlight on how the burden of waste can become a stream of income. The "Energy from Biomass and Waste" (EBW UK) conference and exhibition is held at the Royal Horticultural Halls on January 26 to 27.

The programme includes talks on how advanced waste treatment technology can best be employed to divert residues from landfill while saving cost or even making a profit. Top-of-the-line industry experts will present the latest market data, discuss incentive schemes and report from best-practice in day-to-day waste management. At the concurrently held exhibition 60 companies showcase solutions for the energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly treatment of residues. More than 500 delegates are expected to attend.

EBW UK conference topics include:
-- optimal design and operation of energy from waste facilities
-- compliance with health and safety issues
-- anaerobic digestion of food waste, agricultural residues and other biodegradable materials
-- clean incineration of waste and biomass with heat and power generation
-- wastewater treatment with energy recovery
