Wolfe to discuss solar financing models and the future of the PV Industry

White River Junction, Vt. - Jeff Wolfe, Founder and CEO of Vermont-based groSolar, a national solar installation and distribution company, will be speaking at two leading solar industry conferences in March 2010.

On March 18 Wolfe will participate in a panel discussion at the Solar Project Finance & Investment Summit in San Diego, California, an important networking venue for financial professionals and executives in the solar power industry. Wolfe will participate in the "Growing and Financing the Residential Solar Market" panel discussion will focus on the financing relationships that solar developers are looking to establish with the financial community to expand adoption of residential solar power in the United States. The session will cover the current financing models for residential solar financing, including the solar lease, the property tax assessment model and the residential power purchase agreement.

On March 31, Wolfe will attend the 2010 Solar Summit sponsored by Greentech Media in Phoenix, Arizona, and will speak on the "A View From the Top" panel with CEOs from leading solar companies including SPG Solar, Akeena Solar, and Enphase Energy. Panelists will debate the future of the PV industry and discuss how their companies are positioned for growth in an increasingly complex market.

At the same conference, Wolfe will also speak on the "Transforming Residential Solar: Municipal Financing vs. the PPA" panel. The session provide an overview of these solar financing models and offer guidance on how companies can best leverage them to promote residential solar.

"These new financing structures have completely changed the residential solar market by making solar affordable for the average homeowner. That wasn't always the case," said Wolfe. "It's incumbent upon us in the solar industry to do everything we can to expand residential financing, because it has an enormous implication for our future, our potential a nation to free ourselves from dependence on fossil fuels. There's a sizeable opportunity for investors in this space, and I'm looking forward to talking to people about it."

Wolfe founded groSolar in 1998, and the company is now the largest 100 percent domestically-owned solar distribution firm in the United States. Wolfe is a sought-after speaker at industry events, is a trained Climate Change presenter, and recently testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works about solar's potential to create high-paying, green jobs for America.
