Daegu, South Korea: SunPods Inc. of San Jose, CA. and their Pacific Rim strategic partner Semi-Materials Inc of Seongnam City, Korea made their first Asian product demonstration of the revolutionary SunPods' EV Plug-N-Go™ Solar Powered Electric Vehicle Charging System Station at the International Green Energy Expo Korea 2010.

The world's first factory-built-to-order integrated solar powered electric vehicle charging station is delivered direct from the factory and arrives to the project ready to power up immediately, requires no on-site preparation or assembly.

SunPods developed the EV Plug-N-Go specifically for companies, institutions and public agencies that need an instant solar powered infrastructure solution for on-road electric vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and electrical industrial utility vehicles. The SunPods EV Plug-N-Go accelerates the green power infrastructure needed for today's electrical powered vehicles.

According to Michael Gumm, Executive Vice President of Business Development and co-founder of SunPods, "the International Green Energy Expo Korea 2010 proved to be the perfect demonstration platform for SunPods Electric Vehicle Charging System. The Pacific Rim, especially South Korea, Japan and China are rapidly moving into renewable energy and green power transportation systems and represent huge markets. Working in partnership with Korea's leading silicon and wafer manufacturer Semi-Materials, Inc. gives us the opportunity to expand into the Pacific Rim, giving us the ability to build out more regional assembly facilities and reach more global markets".

SunPods SP-300 EV Plug-N-Go modular, integrated solar power platforms are engineered for both on-grid and off-grid installations. In one configuration, the SunPods SP-300 net-meters solar power to the grid, offsetting carbon based grid power. In another design, the SP-300 equipped using the latest battery systems provides optimal power storage and buffering between the electrical vehicle and utility grid.

The SP-300 is a bi-directional system, allowing power input and output with both solar and grid connected power sources. Smart Grid capable, as grid connections become Smart Grid enabled, utilities will be able to access and manage the SunPods stored energy at peak demand times. In addition to regional on-site factories, SunPods ships complete SunPods Export Kits for remote markets in Canada, the Pacific, India, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
