Direct Grid Technologies Receives UL Certification for New High Power Grid Tie Micro-Inverter

Direct Grid Technologies, LLC, announced that it has received UL1741 certification for the DGM-S460 Series Grid Tie Micro-Inverter.

Edgewood, New York - Oct 8, 2010 - Direct Grid Technologies, LLC, announced that it has received UL1741 certification for the DGM-S460 Series Grid Tie Micro-Inverter. The DGM-S460 is a rugged utility- grade photovoltaic (PV) inverter that offers a unique architecture and a market-leading 460W power output in the micro-inverter space. The technology employed in the Direct Grid micro-inverter permits unparalleled customization options, increased flexibility and connection to the highest power PV modules available on the market.

"Achievement of UL1741 now propels the DGM-S460 into the North American solar market, after a much anticipated wait," said Direct Grid President Frank Cooper. "This is another significant milestone in our go to market' strategy, and we are on schedule for our global product launch in 2010."

The DGM-S460 will be distributed in the United States initially through OEM partner Synergy Energy in New Jersey. Additional partner agreements are in the works and will be announced in upcoming weeks. With no micro-inverter competitor capable of handling more than 280 watts with a single inverter architecture, the DGM-S460 affords customers the choice for the first time ever of selecting the known advantages of micro-inverters on high power modules up to 460 watts, or conversely, pairing two solar modules per micro-inverter up to 230 watts each.

Direct Grid is showcasing the UL listed DGM-S460 and other micro-inverter solutions at Solar Power International 2010 in Los Angeles, CA, October 12-14th at booth 4101.

Darfon G320 Microinverter

The Darfon G320 is the microinverter solution for today's high-power solar modules. The G320 handles 60- and 72-cell modules up to 350W DC and outputs up to 300W AC. The G320's 3-phase configuration accommodates the electrical distribution systems of most commercial buildings and to reduce, if not eliminate, the need for expensive transformers. The G320 comes in four voltage/phase configurations, so it can be installed in residential, commercial or utility applications.
