Schneider Electric's Renewable Energies Business is launching two new grid tie inverters, a high voltage charge controller, and is exhibiting a range of solutions at Solar Power International (SPI), the premiere marketplace in North America for professionals in the solar industry, from October 12-14. The Schneider Electric exhibit is at booth 1211 in the Los Angeles Convention Centre and hosts product displays with Schneider Electric experts on hand, iPad™-facilitated demonstrations, and video.

"We're thrilled to be unveiling new solar products at Solar Power International, our first launch under the Schneider Electric brand," says Ted Campbell, Senior Vice President, Renewable Energies Business, Schneider Electric. "These products have been designed from the ground up in Schneider Electric's world-class production facilities."

Solar Power International is North America's largest business to business solar event, bringing together manufacturers, integrators, installers, utilities, investors, builders, architects, large energy users, policymakers, and others with a business interest in solar. SPI is expecting more than 27,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors. SPI is sponsored by Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) and Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), two of the biggest solar associations supported by Schneider Electric.

Schneider Electric Conext™ Grid Tie Inverters (North America)
2.8, 3.3, 3.8, 5.0 kW

The new Schneider Electric Conext Grid Tie Inverter has been redesigned to offer improved reliability and a low installed cost through ease of installation and integrated features. The Conext inverter is a proven, high-frequency design in a compact enclosure and may be installed as a single inverter, for a single PV array, or in a multiple-inverter configuration for large PV systems.

Schneider Electric Xantrex™ XW MPPT 80 600 Solar Charge Controller

The XW MPPT 80 is an innovative solar charge controller that accepts array voltages up to 600V; significantly reducing system wiring gauges and conduit costs. The Xantrex XW MPPT 80 600 is a photovoltaic (PV) charge controller that tracks the maximum power point of a PV array to deliver the maximum available current for charging batteries. When charging, the XW MPPT 80 600 regulates the battery voltage and output current based on the amount of energy available from the PV array and present state-of-charge of the battery.

Schneider Electric Xantrex™ GT500-480 Grid Tie Solar Inverter

The Xantrex GT500-480 is a grid tie solar inverter with an ultra-efficient design (CEC efficiency of 96.5%), a redesigned enclosure for more reliability, and a two-section design with inverter and DC section in one cabinet and transformer and AC section in another. The inverter includes a night-time disconnect to prevent transformer magnetizing current losses and soft start circuit to reduce transformer inrush.
