October 2010 ― Christopher Associates today announced that it has significantly extended the warranty on Zoomlight solar backsheet materials used in solar module production. After extensive testing, the warranty on select Zoomlight backsheet materials has been extended to 25 years. This meets or exceeds most solar panel OEM warranties.


The unique construction of the backsheet materials has passed 4000 hours of artificial ageing (QUVB). This is well beyond current 1000 hour industry standards. This exceptional performance enables Christopher Associates to extend the warranty on Zoomlight FFC-JW 30, JW 30120 and FFC-JW 18 solar backsheet materials.

Zoomlight's fourth generation materials offer high interlayer adhesion, excellent adhesion to EVA films, superior ultraviolet light and weather resistance, and long-term reliability. Test results on the Zoomlight backsheet materials, which are UL and TüV certified, are available upon request.
