The Surrey Board of Trade Recognizes Endurance's Role in its Community
Vancouver, BC November 12th 2010 - The Surrey Board of Trade, a business organization advocating and promoting the interests of local Surrey businesses, has selected Endurance Wind Power as this year's winner of its ‘Business Excellence of the Year' award. The announcement was made at the 12th Annual Surrey Business Excellence Awards. These awards are intended to assist organizations in improving their performance while providing an introduction to business assessment and business excellence models.
In making their decision, the panel of judges consider the top ten performance criteria, which include company growth, customer service excellence, business performance and community support.
The Business Excellence Award was one of two awards for which Endurance Wind Power was nominated. Glenn Johnson, CEO of Endurance Wind Power, was a finalist for the ‘Business Person of the Year' award.
Glenn commented, "We are honoured to receive this award and to be recognized for Business Excellence by the Surrey Board of Trade. Our success reflects the commitment and efforts of every one of the extraordinary employees that we hire and of the business partnerships that we have formed in the Surrey area. "
Endurance Wind Power, since its inception just three years ago, has witnessed exponential growth. The company maintains strong partnerships with other Surrey businesses and manufactures wind turbines out of its 22,000 square foot manufacturing plant in South Surrey. The engineering in their products has broken the paradigm in the small wind power market by delivering turbines that are more efficient in delivering electricity from the power of the wind. The company's numerous business partners have made the plant and corporate office a hub for international visitors, bringing Surrey to the world.
Endurance Wind Power is a manufacturer of advanced small wind turbines from 5 to 50kW in size, designed specifically for distributed wind power applications. Their line of modern, induction-based wind turbines brings efficient, reliable, safe and quiet, renewable energy within reach of homeowners, farmers, businesses and institutions across North America, the United Kingdom and an expanding global market.
