Cape Fear Solar Achieves Triple NABCEP Certification
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WILMINGTON, NC, March 23, 2011 - John Donoghue from Wilmington based Cape Fear Solar Systems is one of four people in the United States of America that have achieved triple NABCEP Certification: Solar PV®, Solar Thermal™ and Solar PV Technical Sales™. NABCEP Certification is the most respected achievement in the alternative energy field that proves an individual's in-depth knowledge, skills and experience related to solar system design and installation.
NABCEP Certification further demonstrates consumer protection, quality assurance, and improved system performance. Only four solar professionals in the entire nation have achieved the triple certification: one in Georgia, one in Texas and two individuals in North Carolina, one based in Wilmington and one in the Research Triangle area.
"With a high emphasis on training and the validation that comes from third party certification, we aim to provide Southeastern North Carolina with lasting and reliable solar systems," John Donoghue reflects. "Solar is here to stay and experiencing tremendous growth in our area, which also attracts opportunists to the field. NABCEP Certification is a clear message to consumers that their solar system is installed by professionals and will perform as predicted," Donoghue highlights. "These achievements are only the start and should serve as a motivation to other solar installers that are serious about their work: our employees are following a similar path to assure overall quality of Cape Fear Solar Systems' work," Donoghue concludes.
This distinguishing mark for renewable energy professionals has been awarded since 2003 by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). NABCEP's rigorous competency standards for certification send a clear message to consumers, financers, and public officials that the industry stresses the highest standards in safety, workmanship, and ethical business practices.
In order to protect customers, the organization keeps an updated online national database of all NABCEP Certified Solar PV®, Solar Thermal™ and Solar PV Technical Sales™ installers. "Certified installers are grouped by state of residency and can be found at http://www.nabcep.org/installer-locator," states Sue Pratt from NABCEP.

The NeON R module features "Back Contact" cell technology delivering an entirely black panel that is aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient. The cell's seamless, surface blends perfectly into nearly all rooftop designs while the module's electrodes are positioned on the rear of the cell. Using LG's N-type cell structure, the panels produce 365W of energy, up to 7.3kWp, compared to 5.8kWp of the p-type cell. The module's new design minimizes LID, thereby delivering a longer lifespan and increased energy output.
