The ZAM Mounting System Used in Japan

Powerway mounting systems in Japan are made of the steel with the best corrosion resistance: SUPER DYMA steel, ensuring a long life span and allowing a warranty of 25 years.

Japan is made up of four main and over 3,000 smaller islands. They suffer from frequent typhoons and earthquakes, so to fully protect PV modules Japan has strict requirements for mounting systems, including both high strength and corrosion resistance. Powerway mounting systems in Japan are made of the steel with the best corrosion resistance: SUPER DYMA steel, ensuring a long life span and allowing a warranty of 25 years.

"Surface treatments of steel were first developed for resisting corrosion," said material engineer Mr. Xiangyun Deng. They can be classified into two categories: plating and coating. Plating includes both hot-dip and electrical. Using the hot-dip method, with diversified combinations of raw material and hot-dip material, more steel products can be produced to meet customers' requirements for heat and corrosion resistance, and long life span.

Super Dyma steel is highly corrosion resistant steel, engineered to deliver outstanding performance in some of the toughest and harshest environments. Aluminum, magnesium and silicon are added to a conventional zinc coating, resulting in a compounding effect that dramatically enhances corrosion resistance. Super Dyma steel is 10--20 times more corrosion-resistant than ordinary hot-galvanized steel sheets, and 5--8 times more than hot-dip aluminized steel sheet.

Darfon G320 Microinverter

The Darfon G320 is the microinverter solution for today's high-power solar modules. The G320 handles 60- and 72-cell modules up to 350W DC and outputs up to 300W AC. The G320's 3-phase configuration accommodates the electrical distribution systems of most commercial buildings and to reduce, if not eliminate, the need for expensive transformers. The G320 comes in four voltage/phase configurations, so it can be installed in residential, commercial or utility applications.
