Ontario Solar Academy Launches Scholarship Program for Recent Graduates

Ontario Solar Academy has initiated a special scholarship for University and College students interested in expanding their knowledge of solar energy.

This special offer is available only to students with a valid student card and for our upcoming May & June classes in Vaughan, Ontario.

If selected for this limited scholarship program, we are offering a full $2,000 discount off our regular tuition costs meaning the price of our intensive 5-Day training is only $995!

Ontario Solar Academy is Canada's premier ISPQ accredited solar training school. We offer intensive training programs on the installation and design of photovoltaic systems. The concepts introduced through the 5-day program are applicable to sales, designer and installer jobs within the solar industry. Students have the opportunity to write the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) PV Entry Level Exam on the final day of the program. Passing the NABCEP PV Entry Level Exam is a way to demonstrate a strong fundamental knowledge of solar technology and the electrical and mechanical integration of PV systems.

Students will be exposed to:
• Introduction to Electricity and Solar Technology
• Proper site assessment and shading analysis techniques using sun path calculators and trigonometry.
• In-depth examination and evaluation of all electrical components within a PV system.
• Exposure to numerous roof mount racking systems and ballasted flat roof racking
• Overview of Ontario's FIT / MicroFIT program
• Stand-Alone Sizing Methodologies
