Schneider Electric Renewable Energies Business has supplied Conext™ TX inverters at the Net-Zero Energy Home of Tomorrow exhibit at the State Fair of Texas, the largest annual exhibition in North America, which runs until October 23, 2011 in Dallas. The Home of Tomorrow is open from 10 am to 10 pm seven days a week.

At the heart of the home's energy solution is the new Conext TX range of single-phase inverter line. Conext TX inverters range from 2.8 to 5 kW and use Schneider Electric's Fast Sweep technology, containing an innovative maximum power point tracking (MPPT) feature that helps ensure increased energy harvest in shaded conditions. They are easily installed as a single inverter for a single photovoltaic (PV) array or in a multiple-inverter configuration for larger PV systems.

Greenland Energy Dynamics and Scarlet Custom Homes partnered in building the 1700 square foot home, designed by renowned architect Larry Garnett. The Net-Zero Energy Home of Tomorrow is powered by about 75 percent solar energy and 25 percent wind energy, and uses solar hot water as well as geothermal heating and air conditioning.

"We chose Schneider Electric inverters for this project for their resiliency and reliability – we've never had problems with them in the past – as well as the fact that they are backed by a very large, robust company," said Dan Dean, Design Engineer with net zero energy experts Greenland Energy Dynamics.

"Schneider Electric is thrilled to be part of the innovative Home of Tomorrow project, which shares our goal of helping people make the most of their energy," said Laurent Bataille, Senior Vice President, Schneider Electric. "Our new Conext TX range is one example of our highly efficient inverters which form the core of our electrical balance of systems solutions."

Conext TX inverters are also part of the Schneider Electric display at Booth 1909 at the Solar Power International trade show in the Dallas Convention Centre, along with an overview of Schneider Electric's bankable solutions for the residential, small commercial, off grid, battery backup, and large scale and utility markets. Also featured will be a Schneider Electric EVlink electric vehicle charging station display, with both utility and residential applications, plus the new downloadable system design tool and the Schneider Electric Solar Partner Portal, an exclusive new website only for Schneider Electric dealers and distributors.
