TIGO ENERGY® PARTNERS WITH LEADING PV MODULE MANUFACTURERS TO DELIVER SOLAR SMART MODULES

Trina Solar, Hanwha Solar and Upsolar Now Offering Smart Panel Technology Featuring Integrated Tigo Energy Maximizer® Solution

DALLAS, Texas, Oct. 19, 2011 –Tigo Energy, the market leader in DC output maximization for photovoltaic (PV) solar installations, today announced that Trina Solar, Hanwha Solar and Upsolar are now offering smart panel technology featuring integrated Tigo Energy® Maximizer™ technology for PV solar installations. The announcement was made at the Solar Power International Conference here.

By incorporating the Tigo Energy Maximizer Solution into their respective products, the three leading PV solar manufacturers have developed smart panels that increase energy production up to 20 percent and present new levels of intelligence, active manageability and enhanced safety. The factory integration of the Tigo Energy Module Maximizers brings the established value of the solution to system owners with unprecedented ease in logistics and installation.

The Maximizer solution enables owners of PV projects of any size (residential, commercial or utility scale) to increase power production by reducing the effects of shade, dust, clouds and uneven temperature on system performance. The technology also delivers accurate data and analysis (at the module level) to keep long-term system operations at peak performance while enhancing safety of rooftop PV systems.

"Tigo Energy and our valued module partners have had market cooperation since 2009 as our mutual customers deployed intelligent PV systems," said Jeff Krisa, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Tigo Energy. "These installer and engineering, procurement and construction customers have asked us to tightly integrate the module and the Maximizer, and we have responded."

"Hanwha SolarOne looks to supply our customers with an optimized solution capable of producing the most energy possible, and we are encouraged with the potential of our new products that incorporate the Tigo Energy Maximizer Solution," said Sungsoo Lee, Chief Strategic Officer of Hanwha SolarOne.

PV installers worldwide have rapidly adopted the Tigo Energy solution in both their residential and large-scale commercial offerings. Tigo Energy's global market adoption can be attributed to a unique system architecture that delivers all the value of distributed electronics with unmatched efficiency, cost and reliability. PV system developers and owners also benefit from Tigo Energy's comprehensive panel-level monitoring and analytics, along with advanced safety features.

Smart modules incorporating the Tigo Energy Module Maximizer are now available in high volume and can be sourced in North America, Europe, Middle East, Japan and Asia. By combining Tigo Energy enabled smart modules, the Tigo Energy Maximizer Management Unit and an inverter from any of the industry leaders, an intelligent system can be designed for any sized project in any geography. Pricing, minimum order quantities and availability can be provided by local representatives of Trina, Hanwha and Upsolar. Each company is exhibiting Oct. 17-20 at SPI.
