Announcing the 2012 International Biomass Conference & Expo Agenda

Created from more than 240 abstracts, the agenda contains the best presentations gathered from six continents.

DENVER, CO – BBI International announced this week the preliminary agenda for the 5th annual International Biomass Conference & Expo, the world's largest and fastest growing biomass conference, taking place April 16-19, 2012 in Denver, CO. The 2012 agenda—featuring five comprehensive tracks—is tightly focused on leading edge developments in the biomass industry, from cultivation, harvest and storage to conversion technology, project finance and regulatory guidance.

"We received more than 240 abstracts covering all aspects of biomass development and production," says Tim Portz, Program Director for BBI International. "This type of overwhelming response allowed us to develop a program that is extremely relevant, cutting edge and comprehensive. Attendees will gain the latest information on biomass technology, production, policy, emerging markets and consumer demand from biomass experts around the globe."

"The most inspiring aspect of the result of our call for abstracts was the wide geographical range of submissions. We have received abstracts spanning six continents. India, Germany, Argentina, Malaysia, China, France, United States, Finland, Switzerland, Canada, Taiwan, Tunisia and Australia, are just some examples of countries represented," says Portz. "This demonstrates the rising interest in this industry and confirms that the International Biomass Conference & Expo is truly becoming an international event, attracting interest from all parts of the world."

The 2012 program will include 30-plus panels and more than 100 speakers, including 90 technical presentations, all within the structured framework of five informative tracks:

Track 1: Pellets & Densified Biomass
Track 2: Industrial & Commercial Thermal Energy
Track 3: Biomass Power
Track 4: Biogas & Landfill Gas
