Free Online Event to Feature Expert Speakers from Amonix, Oerlikon Solar and Spire Corporation

PORTLAND, Maine — IntertechPira is pleased to announce it will be offering a complimentary online learning event, "Competitive PV Manufacturing in the US," on Wednesday, March 7, at 12 p.m. EST. The webinar will be hosted by three solar industry experts who will be presenting at IntertechPira's upcoming conference, Photovoltaics Summit 2012.

The one-hour joint online session will feature Roger G. Little, Chairman and CEO, Spire Corporation; Chris O'Brien, head of Market Development, Oerlikon Solar; and Vahan Garboushian, Founder, Chief Technology Officer and Board of Directors Chairman, Amonix, Inc. Each speaker will give a 15-minute presentation, which will be followed by a 15-minute question and answer session at the conclusion of the webinar.

This free event is being offered as a lead up to the 7th annual Photovoltaics Summit, taking place April 17-18, 2012 in San Diego, CA. The conference will feature more than 40 of the senior-most PV experts taking on the most pressing industry issues, including thin film competiveness, the smart grid and solar integration, module life expectancy, roof top solar, balance of systems, federal policy, transmission, financing, land development and utility-scale.

"While the PV market has experienced incredible growth over the past decade, there are many challenges and hurdles for the industry still to overcome," said Andrew Smaha, Conference Director, IntertechPira. "At Photovoltaics Summit 2012, attendees won't simply hear the same rehashed reports that have flooded the marketplace in recent months, but instead engage in a solution-based dialogue led directly by a large contingency of industry game-changers."

The online webinar is free and open to all, will also include a live question and answer period, and will be recorded. If you can't attend the live event, register now to ensure you receive the proceedings within 24 hours.
