Ecolibrium Solar Expands Boulder, CO Facility

Ecolibrium Solar is moving into a new, larger facility in Boulder, Co, with increased R&D and Engineering capabilities.

Boulder, CO. October 26, 2016 - Ecolibrium Solar, a leading supplier of PV solar racking solutions for rooftop installations, has signed a lease for a new, larger facility in Boulder, CO. With this move, Ecolibrium is expanding its engineering and R&D capabilities. In addition, this move creates a larger space to support customer focused events, training and creates room for the growing Ecolibrium team.

The company currently operates its TüV accredited technology lab in Boulder. With this expansion, capacity for product research and development will more than double, with a fully equipped machine shop and expanded testing capacity. This will allow for faster prototyping and concept validation, and ultimately result in a shorter time to market for next generation racking products.

Ecolibrium Solar is making this move as the market for solar racking products is becoming increasingly competitive. With the total system costs for solar PV systems dramatically decreasing, the market for racking systems is becoming more competitive.

"We are extremely excited about expanding our R&D capabilities. With smarter product development, we will continue to help our customers reduce their costs, which has always been a foundation of Ecolibriums product development philosophy," said Devin MacRostie, Ecolibrium Solars Director of Engineering. "We know that accelerated product development will ultimately help our customers with their continued growth efforts in this very competitive environment. Additionally, by expanding our capabilities, we will be able to focus on developing products and solutions that reside just outside of the traditional mounting systems space, opening up new frontiers for productivity".

In addition to engineering capabilities, the expanded Boulder facility supports the growing Ecolibrium team. Operations team members will work closely with the product development teams, ensuring a close connection between product development, quality, and manufacturability.
The new facility also puts additional focus on training and customer support. Ecolibrium Solar offers a number of NABCEP certified training courses, led by an experienced team of field trainers. The larger Boulder facility will create space for larger training sessions, with space allocated for both a classroom setting, as well as hands on training on full scale mock rooftops.
With expanded capacity for R&D, product development and validation, as well as an increased operations and customer training capabilities, this move underscores Ecolibrium Solars commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in solar racking solutions.
