3RD GLASS PERFORMANCE DAYS (GPD) INDIA CALL FOR PAPERS

GPD India 2013 will present the latest trends in glass processing and glass applications in architecture and fenestration technology.

The Indian edition of the world's most important conference for glass specialists, the Glass Performance Days (GPD), will be held from March 19 – 20, 2013 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, parallel with GLASSPEX INDIA – International Exhibition for Glass – Production Processing Products (March 20 - 22). Conference papers on the topic of "Energy Efficiency, Solar and Glass Technology in Warm Climates" can now be submitted online at http://www.gpd.fi/India (the deadline is October 12, 2012).

GPD, which originated in Finland, now also has become an established event in China, South America and India. Specifically geared to the needs and challenges of the Indian market, GPD India 2013 will present the latest trends in glass processing and glass applications in architecture and fenestration technology. Special focus will be on energy efficiency in solar and glass technologies as well as on renewable energies and their significance for the glass industry.

GPD India 2013 will concentrate on "Energy Efficiency, Solar and Glass Technology in Warm Climates". "It is true that investment in the production of renewable energies is rising but in warmer regions such as India the necessity for insulating buildings has not received the attention it deserves," stated Brown Onduso from the GPD Organizing Committee. "Efficient energy management is subject to temperature control through building insulation, if heating and/or air-conditioning costs are not to increase. The Conference will focus on precisely this topic since development in window and glass technology also allows for control of this kind in warmer climates."

Over the past years, the GPD Conference has become established as a communication platform for the worldwide glass industry, including India. High-caliber international speakers as well as specialists from architecture, design, research and the glass trade will give the trade fair visitors a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and acquire new contacts.

GLASSPEX INDIA 2013 will be organized by Messe Düsseldorf in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf India and with the support of such prominent associations as the All India Glass Manufacturers' Federation (AIGMF) and the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). Messe Düsseldorf is renowned as the organizer of glasstec, the world's largest trade fair for the glass sector, held every two years in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide - the ultimate solution for fast and easy installation of the rail-less RockIt racking system on composition shingle roofs. Smart Slide conforms to UL 441 and TAS 100 (A)-95 for wind and wind-driven rain, providing a super-strong watertight seal that is achieved through compression, in most cases without the need for additional sealant. The waterproofing sealant is embedded deep into the granules of the shingle, thanks to the integrated flexible foam layer that provides cushioning. This ensures a secure fit that conforms to any architectural-style shingle. With UltraGrip Technologyâ„¢, you can rely on a secure installation, as it absorbs the movement created by thermal expansion and contraction. The pre-installed sealing pads are compatible with all composition shingle roofs, making it the ideal choice, even in ambient temperatures as low as 5 degrees.
