Advanced design features of our new RE renewable energy batteries:
OUTSIDE POSITIVE (OSP™) Battery Design
The OSP™ battery design increases the positive-to-negative active material ratio and provides increased protection of the positive plate from positive plate deterioration. This results in longer life, increased capacity, and more stable performance over the life of the battery.
DEFENDER™ Moss Shields
The use of insulating DEFENDER™ moss shields' in renewable energy batteries can effectively prevent the formation of mossing shorts that limit the life of these batteries. This results in longer life, increased capacity, and more stable performance over the life of the battery.
EXTENDED ELECTROLYTE RESERVOIR
Increasing the volume of the electrolyte reservoir increases battery performance particularly in long-term (50-100 hour) discharges and allows the battery to maintain lower operating temperatures in hot environments while extending the time between watering intervals.

Flex-Core - Flexible Split-Core Current Transformer

The FCL model split-core current transformers have multiple benefits, including a flexible twisting motion for ease of application. Installing a split-core CT means there is no need to disconnect your primary conductor(s) which reduces downtime. Many customizations are available including extended secondary lead wire lengths, various outputs including 5A, 1A, 1VAC, and 0.333VAC, and custom rubber inserts to help center the CT and maintain accuracy. The FCL models can be used in applications up to 720VAC and have an operating frequency from 50Hz to 400Hz.
