GERMAN RACKING SUPPLIER K2 SYSTEMS ENTERS US MARKET WITH EVEREST RACKING SYSTEMS BRAND

Innovative mounting systems to be unveiled at Solar Power International Show in Orlando, Florida September 10-13

Oceanside, CA - September 12, 2012 – K2 Systems, one of the leading mounting systems manufacturers in Europe has announced the launch of its US division, Everest Solar Systems. K2 Systems is active in all major market segments, residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar, with a track record of more than 2.5GW of installations in all major European markets. The company will serve the same segments in the US.

To fuel the company's growth in the US market, Everest Solar Systems is introducing 4 game-changing products for the residential and commercial solar market. The products, detailed below and on display at the upcoming SPI trade show, will significantly reduce the cost per watt of solar systems, leading to an expansion of the solar market overall.

Andy Neshat, the company's Director of Sales commented "We are diligently working to adapt our most innovative products form our European product line to meet the US structural and electrical building codes to make it easy for our partners to design, permit and install. For example, our unique, low ballast, D-Dome system for commercial flat roof installations significantly increases the energy yield of a solar installation on a given roof space by allowing many more modules to be installed, and at the same time, reducing the overall cost per Watt of the system."

The company's CEO, Boris Mathiszik, added "the D-Dome is a compelling product because of its ultra-low component count which minimizes installation and design time. But we propagate this design simplicity throughout our entire product line. For instance, we are able to support 4 different products, for residential roof tops, for corrugated metal roofs, and for two configurations of our commercial flat roof designs, and all these solutions are supported with only 40 different part numbers. The simplicity and modularity of our designs really reduce installation and training time, as well as logistics costs."

The company is occupying a 24,000 square foot facility in the Ocean Ranch business park in Oceanside, CA, and will start shipping from the new facility in September.
