Advanced Solar Photonics Generates 50 MW of Product Orders at Solar Power International

International Visitors Flock to PV Manufacturer's Innovative Booth and Solar PV Factory Tour

Lake Mary, FL., September 24, 2012 – Advanced Solar Photonics, LLC (ASP), an American manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) equipment and provider of turnkey alternative energy systems, announced that it generated an estimated 50 MW of PV product orders and commitments during Solar Power International 2012 (SPI) held in Orlando on September 10-13.

The new business came from demand for complete turnkey PV product solutions featuring ASP's 400 Watt PV Modules, BiFacial PV modules, Fusion Solar Kits and Integrated Solar Arrays - all made in America. ASP received overwhelming interest from solar installers and project developers in the US, Mexico, and several countries in the Caribbean, South America and Africa.

"SPI was a great success for ASP." said Demitri Nikitin, President and CEO of the company. "Not only did we generate a significant amount of new business, but also developed strategic relationships with companies around the globe."

Over a thousand visitors came through ASP's innovative 1600 square foot booth which displayed only pure business products and was staffed by product experts and company senior management. Visitors surveyed at the booth called it one of the best at the show for its pure business applications substance.

"ASP exhibited one of the most innovative large scale product displays I have seen at a solar industry show" said Garret Boykin, Director of Sales and Marketing for Sonepar USA Energy Solutions. "I appreciated that it focused on products, materials and real world project applications."

The ASP booth featured its Integrated Solar Array (ISA), an innovative solution designed to reduce the cost of balance of systems (BOS) and solar panels. ISA fully integrates the solar PV modules into the mounting structure thereby eliminating the aluminum frame, grounding wire, clips, nuts, and bolts.

ASP displayed the single largest array of 400 Watt monocrystalline PV modules ever shown at SPI along with the new line of Glass-to-Glass and Bifacial PV Modules made in the U.S.A.

During SPI week, ASP hosted more than 200 visitors at its PV manufacturing facility and 1.4 MW rooftop solar plant in Lake Mary, Florida during SPI week. ASP is one of the largest manufacturers of crystalline silicon PV Modules in the U.S with a production capacity of 125 MW in 2012.

Advanced Solar Photonics, LLC (ASP), is a manufacturing and research and development center for crystalline silicon solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for utility, commercial and residential applications. Based on the latest cell efficiency, light transmission, and encapsulation technologies, ASP focuses on high-efficiency, state-of-the-art solar PV modules ranging from 200 Watts to 400 Watts. ASP is the one of the largest producers of crystalline silicon PV modules in the United States and is one of the few producers in the U.S. of Buy American Act compliant products suitable for government, military and municipal projects and meeting the requirements of Section 1605 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
