ArrayPower Sequenced Inverter Meets Safety and Grid Compliance Standards for North America

Technology validated according to UL, CSA and IEEE inverter standards

Sunnyvale, Calif. – Jan. 9, 2013 – ArrayPower, a Silicon Valley-based power electronics company, today announced its second generation Sequenced Inverter™ has completed and passed all certification tests required for use in solar installations across the United States and Canada.

ArrayPower's Sequenced Inverter converts the DC power produced by solar photovoltaic (PV) modules into grid-ready, three-phase AC power for use in commercial-scale PV systems. Module manufacturers integrate Sequenced Inverters into their products during the manufacturing process to reduce costs and ease system installation with a plug-and-play AC module.

Sequenced Inverter Model AP-SI-270BB was deemed to meet or exceed all safety and grid compliance standards after testing performed by MET Laboratories, Inc., a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). These standards include:

• UL 1741: Inverters, Converters, Controllers and Interconnection System Equipment for Use with Distributed Energy Resources
• CSA C22.2 NO 107.1-01: General Use Power Supplies
• IEEE 1547: Conformance Test Procedures for Equipment Interconnecting Distributed Resources with Electric Power Systems

ArrayPower and its module manufacturing partners also completed extensive module safety and reliability testing—beyond the requirements outlined in module safety standard UL1703—to validate the ability of Sequenced Inverter-equipped AC modules to withstand harsh environments over its 25-year warranty period. Additionally, the Sequenced Inverter's communication hub and cable harness with integrated connector earned certifications for use in the U.S. and Canadian markets.

"Meeting these challenging safety and grid compliance standards is a major step for our technology, opening the door for ArrayPower to quickly penetrate the commercial solar market in North America," said Wendy Arienzo, CEO of ArrayPower. "From the laboratory to the field, our Sequenced Inverter has demonstrated its exceptional performance and long-term reliability, and we look forward to proving our might in 2013 and beyond."

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide - the ultimate solution for fast and easy installation of the rail-less RockIt racking system on composition shingle roofs. Smart Slide conforms to UL 441 and TAS 100 (A)-95 for wind and wind-driven rain, providing a super-strong watertight seal that is achieved through compression, in most cases without the need for additional sealant. The waterproofing sealant is embedded deep into the granules of the shingle, thanks to the integrated flexible foam layer that provides cushioning. This ensures a secure fit that conforms to any architectural-style shingle. With UltraGrip Technologyâ„¢, you can rely on a secure installation, as it absorbs the movement created by thermal expansion and contraction. The pre-installed sealing pads are compatible with all composition shingle roofs, making it the ideal choice, even in ambient temperatures as low as 5 degrees.
