Ready, set, go: Mounting Systems introduces open terrain system Sigma II GO Kits

Open terrain racking system for solar plants now in a convenient package for installations up to 50 kilowatts

West Sacramento, April 25, 2013 – Mounting Systems, Inc., the international manufacturer of solar racking systems, located in West Sacramento, California introduces the ground mount system Sigma II GO Kits – the pre-packaged versions of its Sigma II open terrain photovoltaic substructure.

With an inclination angle of 25 degrees, the Sigma II GO Kits arrive with a Professional Engineer (PE) certification and are ready to be installed on ballast blocks or concrete piers. The PE stamp is a proof of structural analysis and certification. The Sigma II GO Kits can be used in diverse settings and configurations and are designed to accept all 60-cell, crystalline modules. Intended primarily for installations up to 50 kilowatt, the Sigma II GO Kits make it fast and easy to have photovoltaic projects up and running in little time and at minimal expense.

Susanne Kylla, Director Sales & Marketing at Mounting System, Inc. says: "Our highly experienced product management department designed a suitable system eliminating the need for the time-consuming, expensive geotechnical testing required for large, driven-pile projects. Even ordering is easy with the Sigma II GO Kits Selector. With the key parameters for the project, the Selector will give the customer a printable MicrosoftTM Excel sheet with the part numbers and pricing most suitable for the project. And, with the extensive amount of pre-assembly we do on the Sigma II, we've made ground mount installation about as easy as it gets."

The Sigma II GO Kits are available for either low load (90mph wind/0 psf snow) or high load (up to 120 mph wind/30psf snow). All are designed for seismic loading based on Design Acceleration Response Spectra (SDS) of 1.67, making them suitable for installation virtually anywhere in North America. Sigma II GO Kits are available through Mounting Systems, Inc. authorized distributors.
