fronius solar.web FROM FRONIUS USA MAXIMIZES PV SYSTEM UPTIME THROUGH DATA GENERATION, INSTANT COMMUNICATION
Fronius Solar.web lets users monitor, compare and analyze data generated by any Fronius solar inverter with an electronic datalogger, so adjustments can be made before they affect PV system energy yield.
Portage, Ind. (June 25, 2013) – Fronius Solar.web, a new, free online portal from Fronius USA, helps photovoltaic (PV) system installers, integrators and owners maximize system uptime and energy yield through data generation and instant communication. Fronius Solar.web lets users monitor, compare and analyze data generated by any Fronius solar inverter with an electronic datalogger, so adjustments can be made before they affect PV system energy yield. Solar.web can email service messages if difficulties occurs that will affect system uptime, and system data can even be displayed publicly on a television by synching with Fronius USA's Solar.TV online portal.
"Fronius Solar.web is an exciting addition to Fronius USA's product and service offering," said Thomas Enzendorfer, Director of Marketing and Sales, Fronius USA. "The ability to view energy production trends over time and receive instant communication about things that can affect a PV system helps installers, integrators and owners make faster decisions that can positively affect system output and help maximize both uptime and energy yield."
Fronius Solar.web uses an electronic datalogger to transmit data from a PV system to the online portal, where it is tracked. System installers, integrators and homeowners can log on to www.solarweb.com to review actionable system data, including:
· Annual, monthly and daily energy production in kilowatt hours (kWh)
· Total daily, monthly and lifetime energy production
· Overall system earnings
· CO2 reduction
· Voltage and current information for periods of time within archived data
· Automatic yield comparisons across multiple inverters or time periods
Enzendorfer said Fronius Solar.web's ability to send emails instantaneously if difficulties occur is an important feature for whoever manages a PV system – the owner, or an installer or integrator.
"The Service Messages feature is activated within the electronic datalogger within a Fronius inverter," he explained. "If something happens to a system, such as a ground fault or a current issue, the electronic datalogger sends an immediate email that can drive action to fix that issue. It can also allow for some troubleshooting without sending out a technician."
