OutBack Power Offers Free Introductory NABCEP-approved Certificate Training at Intersolar North America

Accelerated half-day program introduces solar professionals to success in growing market

ARLINGTON, Wash.--OutBack Power Technologies, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of advanced power electronics for renewable energy, backup power and mobile applications, today announced open registration for its free half-day introductory classes during Intersolar North America on July 9 and 10 at 8:30 a.m. PT to noon and at 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. PT at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco, Calif. Sessions will include topics from solar photovoltaic (PV) system fundamentals to system specification and sizing, design, installation, testing and commissioning, including highlights from OutBack Power's full Certificate Training Program sessions. Students will earn credit from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) towards PV Installation Professional Certification or Solar PV Recertification.

Students taking one of the following Intersolar classes will earn:

*Three contact hours toward NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification; or

*Two Continuing Education Credits (CECs) toward NABCEP Solar PV Recertification; and

*Half-day time credit, which may be applied to one of the full OutBack Power Certificate Training Program sessions in Washington or Phoenix.

OutBack Power's introductory training is open to any solar PV installation, design or sales professional attending Intersolar who is interested in expanding beyond grid-tied systems into battery backup technologies, as well as electrical contractors who want to add solar capabilities to their portfolios. Students will also learn about assessing customer energy needs, sizing and specifying systems, and system component types and technologies including inverter/chargers, charge controllers, and networking and communication devices. Additionally, the class will emphasize energy storage and cover battery system design and implementation.
