San Diego Homeowners Invited to Tierra Santa Solar Open House Hosted by Baker Electric Solar

Baker Electric Solar invites Southern California homeowners to a complimentary solar open house on Saturday, July 27, 2013 in the San Diego community of Tierra Santa. Attendees will tour a live 6.5 kW residential solar energy system.

Baker Electric Solar, a full-service solar integrator specializing in green technology design / build residential solar and commercial solar installations, invites San Diego homeowners to attend a complimentary solar open house on July 27 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 5463 Por Techo Court in the Tierra Santa community of San Diego. Attendees will tour a live solar installation and get their questions answered by the homeowners and Baker Electric Solar (BES) energy consultants.

It's just by chance that the Spanish street name Por Techo translates to "For Roof" and the BES rooftop-mounted 6.5 kW solar system consists of 26 - REC 250 solar panels with a PV surface area of approximately 360 square feet and Enphase215 Microinverters. Factoring in utility rate increases and locked-in low energy rate savings, the Tierra Santa homeowners are projected to save more than $74,000 over 20 years. The system will reduce CO2 emissions by 6.3 tons annually -- equivalent to not driving 15,000 miles.

Visitors will view the homeowner's before and after electric bills, and are encouraged to bring their electric bills so that a BES solar energy consultant can estimate the monthly savings a solar system would provide them.

The homeowners contacted three solar companies for estimates. Their requirements were: a company with a long-standing reputation; no large upfront financial commitment; and no panels visible from the street. In addition, they researched the two companies that responded to their inquiry and found Baker Electric Solar has a Better Business Bureau – BBB A+ rating with no complaints. Only BES provided a no-pressure initial appointment and offered a prepaid lease which met their financial criteria.

"With the pay-ahead lease, we have no monthly lease payments. We don't pay SDG&E any money each month," said the Bartel's. "Since our solar system was energized on March 26, 2013, to date we have accrued an SDG&E bill of only $14.76. We strongly recommend Baker Electric Solar as an outstanding company – knowledgeable, responsive, and patient with solar neophytes. The only thing anyone has to lose by not ‘going solar' is extra money in bank."

"With the impending SDG&E rate increase, homeowners are anxious and interested more than ever in ‘going solar.' Attending an open house is the perfect way to quickly see what a system consists of and how it works," said BES Marketing Manager, Ashley Arant. "We can only do so much in our sales collateral and on our website -- come out and join us Saturday, July 27 and see electric savings firsthand!"
