The Battery Show is expecting upward of 330 exhibitors and will welcome around 4,000 visitors

Novi, Michigan, July 26, 2013 – In a glowing endorsement, Mayor Bob Gatt of the city of Novi, Michigan, has welcomed the return of The Battery Show and the arrival of its new sister show, Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo, for 2013:

"On behalf of the City of Novi, it is my honor to welcome the Battery Show, the Charging Infrastructure Conference, and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo to Novi, Michigan. These three events emulate the ever-changing times in which we live, and are devoted to demonstrating state-of-art vehicle technology right here in the automotive capital of the world. We are proud to be a part of your dreams and future."

From September 17-19, The Battery Show is expecting upward of 330 exhibitors and will welcome around 4,000 visitors back to the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Detroit, MI, USA.

Event Director Steve Bryan confirmed today that The Battery Show 2013 is set to be the biggest and most successful show yet: "Now in its fourth year, we are proud to have brought together our best-ever conference program, the largest exhibition hall and registrations from serious buyers and decision makers within the industry."

"With the launch of Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo alongside The Battery Show, the exhibit hall will feature well in excess of 300 exhibitors and thousands of attendees seeking out the latest power solutions."

Launched in 2010 and expanding year after year, The Battery Show is North America's largest free-to-attend exhibition and conference for the advanced battery industry, and the continent's premier showcase for the latest advanced battery technology solutions. It is also the largest such show outside of the Far East. Co-locating with the Charging Infrastructure Conference and now Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo in the US home of EV automotive and battery technology, The Battery Show provides an ideal opportunity for the industry to share knowledge, view the latest innovations and make useful contacts.

Benefiting from billions of dollars of investment in the advanced battery industry, Michigan is home to 17 advanced battery companies and is expected to be making 20% of the world's lithium-ion batteries by 2015. In partnership with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, The Battery Show highlights the many advances and breakthroughs in the advanced battery industry, and showcases developments in raw materials right through to battery pack systems. It provides the perfect platform to launch products, and an ideal environment to network and do business.

"Siemens has been a long-time participant at The Battery Show. The quality of the participants, insight from the conference, and value of service we receive from Smarter Shows has kept us coming back" James Jackson, Siemens Industry
