Baker Electric Solar Appoints Mike Teresso President

Southern California solar energy company, Baker Electric Solar, is pleased to announce it has appointed Mike Teresso President. Teresso brings extensive management experience in building high-growth, customer-focused organizations.

Baker Electric Solar, a full-service solar integrator specializing in green technology design / build residential solar and commercial solar installations, has appointed Mike Teresso president. With more than 15 years in corporate leadership positions, Teresso brings a wealth of experience in growing environment-friendly businesses -- pairing high-value customer service with high-level profit gains.

In his new position, Teresso is responsible for strategic and operational planning. As a hands-on leader, he is poised to identify and foster growth in Baker Electric Solar core competencies, as well as lead and manage the rapid corporate cultural changes Baker Electric Solar experiences with exponential growth. In addition, Teresso's knowledge of sales, marketing, forecasting, budgeting and cost control helps ensure the solar integrator's solid financial foundation.

Previously Teresso served as president of bathware manufacturer, St. Thomas Creations, Div. of Villeroy & Boch, where he led the company in a turnaround effort – achieving record profitability. Most recently Teresso was director at LAUFEN North America, Bathroom Culture Since 1892. Similar to Baker Electric Solar's rich 75-year history and philosophy, LAUFEN views quality as a two-sided coin: one side being production expertise, the other being function and the outstanding benefits the finished products bring to the customer. In addition, both companies' water conserving products and environmental-friendly manufacturing processes exhibit a commitment to technological innovation, water conservation and sustainability.

Teresso received his M.B.A. from Texas Christian University, M.J. Neeley School of Business. He resides with his family in the City of San Diego.

According to SEIA/GTM Research "U.S. Solar Market Insight: Q1 2013," the U.S. solar industry continues to boom. The residential market shows consistent growth with residential installations growing by 53 percent in Q1 2013 over the same quarter last year.

"The consumer benefits of going solar and resulting market growth projections are clear," said BES CEO Ted Baker. "In order to ensure Baker Electric Solar remains a market leader and is able to expand with the increased demand for solar, we needed to add an executive frontrunner to our team, with a track record of success in a high-growth home improvement industry. Mike Teresso is this leader."

"I'm very excited to be part of Baker Electric Solar," said President Teresso. "Over four generations, the Baker family tradition of providing quality and service has set the stage for entering the age of solar with an unparalleled formula for success. I'm looking forward to contributing to Baker Electric Solar's continued growth."
