The Shenandoah School Corporation has completed the installation of a wind turbine manufactured by PowerWind Ltd with the support of SUREnergy and the project's owner Performance Services. Beyond environmental benefits and the reduction of electricity bills, the wind turbine provides an opportunity for the students to gain a better understanding of the technology and environmental sciences. Shenandoah School Corporation was able to begin the installation of the turbine on August 29, 2013. "We are very proud to install PowerWind Ltd's first WEC in the US. The entire team did a very good job. Also, the cooperation with our Indian manufacture let us be very content and hopeful for realizing more and more projects in further States," John Fellhauer, project developer of SUREnergy, announces.
The NeON R module features "Back Contact" cell technology delivering an entirely black panel that is aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient. The cell's seamless, surface blends perfectly into nearly all rooftop designs while the module's electrodes are positioned on the rear of the cell. Using LG's N-type cell structure, the panels produce 365W of energy, up to 7.3kWp, compared to 5.8kWp of the p-type cell. The module's new design minimizes LID, thereby delivering a longer lifespan and increased energy output.
