PNE WIND-Group increases wind farm development in Germany

Cuxhaven, 9 January 2014 - The PNE WIND-Group increases the realization rate

of wind farms in Germany. The Group comprising of the wind farm development
companies PNE WIND AG and WKN AG are set to realize significantly more
projects in Germany in 2014 than in the previous year.

In 2013, PNE WIND AG constructed or began construction on five wind farm
projects with 35 MW of nominal capacity. These include the "Zernitz II",
"Langwedel II", "Göricke Söllenthin", "Söllenthin II" and "Calau IIA" wind
farms. In two of these projects the last remaining work is currently being
carried out.

Furthermore, PNE WIND AG has building permits on hand for additional wind
farms with 22 turbines and 58 MW of nominal capacity. PNE Wind AG plans to
begin construction on these projects shortly. The wind turbines and
financing has been arranged for these projects which are scheduled to be
completed and put into operation in 2014.

Additional wind farms are currently in the approval process and the building
permits are expected to be issued shortly. In total, wind farms under
construction, permitted or nearly permitted represent 160 MW of generation
capacity. The debt financing for these projects representing more than EUR
200 million has already been secured with six German and European banks.

"In the figures, the success of our intensive development work is evident.
The large number of permitted wind farms which will be constructed in the
near future is the result of our successful project development carried out
over the past few years. Our efforts are now paying off with the
implementation of these projects," comments Markus Lesser, Chief Operating
Officer of PNE WIND AG.

The majority owned WKN AG of the PNE WIND-Group, completed the "Ebersgrün"
wind farm with four turbines and 8.2 MW of nominal capacity in 2013. WKN AG
currently has building permits for three wind farms with 14 turbines and a
total rated capacity of nearly 41 MW. "The projects developed by us have
already been sold and will be constructed and put into operation in 2014,"
says Martinus Scherweit, Chief Executive Officer of WKN AG. Additional wind
farms are currently in the approval process.

Martin Billhardt, Chief Executive Officer of PNE WIND AG, comments, "We are
with our experienced project development teams on a very good way to make
2014 one of our most successful years in terms of project implementation.
The bank financing of our wind farm projects has been secured. Outside of
our German domestic market, we expect PNE WIND AG and the Group companies to
make further progress in the development of our wind farm projects."
