As NABCEP Becomes the Gold Standard Credential for Solar PV in the US, Classes Are Being Added to Course Lists at Training Facilities, Such as Ambassador Energy College

Candidates Seeking Solar Careers Can Hedge Their Bets by Becoming North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners [NABCEP] Accredited

Murrieta, CA January 31, 2014

"During our hiring process for our last significant position," said Kelly Smith, President of Ambassador Energy, "we only interviewed NABCEP-certified individuals. Earning NABCEP credentials – even NABCEP Entry Level– shows me that they are committed to the solar industry and specifically skilled in PV. We just don't waste our time with non-NABCEP candidates."

"In addition to only interviewing this cream of the crop, we are also prepared to pay more for NABCEP-certified folks. By investing in specialized talent, we hedge our bets against mistakes in design, installation and even sales."

NABCEP is becoming more popular throughout the U.S., driving demand for courses, such as the ones offered by Ambassador Energy College in Murrieta CA. In past years, the NABCEP EL class and test were offered once per quarter. The same class is offered almost every week in 1st Quarter 2014.

"We are expanding our course schedule to meet the demand, and even crafting custom programs for other solar companies, who are looking to have their employees certified," said Ambassador Energy College's Director of Training, Catherine Kelso. "Since NABCEP rolled out their company accreditation, we have engaged in conversations with some of the country's largest solar installation companies. I think the industry is finally getting that solar is complex, and I am excited to be doing my part in training the industry. Having more installations that are done correctly and safely is good for the industry as a whole."

Ambassador Energy College's 2014 Solar PV training calendar includes:

*NABCEP Entry Level - Solar PV Design and Installation 32-hour course and NABCEP Entry Level exam [options include classroom and online]
